What is MetroList and what does it do?  

Metrolist is the name of the Computer System and Database for all Real Estate Listings and the Largest MLS (Multiple Liting System) in Northern California. Formed and Owned  by Sacramento, Placer County and El Dorado County Associations of REALTORS  in 1985,  when they came together to build a regional MLS  database. As the success of MetroList grew, Lodi Association of REALTORS®, Stockton Association of REALTORS®, Amador County Association of REALTORS®, Yolo County Association of REALTORS® and the Brokers in Western Merced County joined to provide seamless real estate information networks to serve the Northern California Central Valley. It is the official Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and computer service provider to more than 21,500 real estate brokers and agents in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, Yolo, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced Counties.

MetroList® is the official Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and computer service provider to more than 26,000 real estate brokers and agents in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, Yolo, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced Counties. Metrolist is the largest MLS in the State of California and covers a geographical aea of over 12,000 square miles! 

Real Estate professionals who are members of their local Association have complete access to every listing within this huge geographical area! With a single data base, one common and easy to use software system, one subscriber orientation program, one set of MLS Rules and the use of the most advanced and secure Keybox system. Most important, MetroList is still locally owned by these Local Association’s of Realtors, and its MLS Participant Brokers through a Mutual Benefits Corporation called California Real Estate Brokers, Inc.

METROLIST is also part of the NORCAL MLS Alliance.
